Should professional athletes be paid so much?
On average, a professional athlete in the NFL is paid $1.9 million a year. In Texas, on average, a teacher makes about $37,750 a year. Does that seem very fair to you?
As most people know, football is a huge deal in the South. "The Boys of the Fall" are put on a pristine pedestal. In the fall, most Saturdays or Sundays are spent sitting on the couch yelling at the game being played on TV or screaming for your local high school team.
While all that may should fun and exciting, have you considered how much they make? now don't get me wrong, I know that the work very hard at what they do but is it really worth millions?
Teachers, the people who help to build the next generations, earn a considerably smaller amount. Teachers work very hard to make sure their students have the skills they need to be successful in their lives. Nowadays in America, teachers don't get the respect they deserve. People constantly under mind the hard work they do.
That being said, I don't feel it is fair for people running around tossing a football and attacking each other to make so much more than educators.
