1. How many days has the government shut down been going?
11 days so far.
2. What school had a new sidewalk opened to help students get to school safer?
I'm pretty sure it is Leander high school.
3. Who is Texas playing in football this weekend? OR What is the rivalry called?
I read sports things about the Sooners?
4. What very small cars are people starting to "Pimp out", just give me one example?
People are doing that to their small smart cars I think. I don't know what the name of the car is but they are small and boxed, one is a cube or maybe fiat.
5. A fairly important person died yesterday, his name was Scott Carpenter, what is he famous for?
He was an astronout that missed his landing pad by a big distance.
1. It seems the government shut down is about to come to a close. Have you kept up with what is happening? Explain as best you can what you know about the past 11 days, tell me what has happened as the President and the Congress have been working through their difficulties. Maybe you have heard your parents talking about it, or maybe even in social studies class you have discussed it. Tell me what you know.
The biggest thing is that no one can agree. Since the government is shut down, government workers can't work. Some people have even started to look for new work and others are protesting.
From what i gather it is coming to a lose and people should be able to go back to working normally.
