Self Portrait and Portraits Part I

Tip 1: There are a lot of ‘rules’ out there when it comes to composition and I’ve always had a love hate relationship with them. My theory is that while they are useful to know and employ that they are also useful to know so you can purposely break them – as this can lead to eye catching results.
Tip 2: In some portraits it is the expression on the face of your subject that makes the image.
Tip 3: The most common mistake made by photographers is that they are not physically close enough to their subjects. In some cases this means that the center of interest—the subject—is just a speck, too small to have any impact.

Environmental portraits
I like this picture because its almost as if you can see into his life.  This gives off certain emotions and I really like the coloring of it too.
Again, I really like the coloring. This picture gives off a lonely vibe but not in a bad way. He seems content to be in a dinner alone.

                                                     Photography self portraits

I really enjoy the layering of this picture. All of the different facial expressions make it very unique.
I can't really explain why but I find this picture amazing. I love it and its really creepy.

Casual portraits
I like that this picture isn't overlay posed like most wedding pictures are. This picture is fun and goofy.
Again, this picture is fun and goofy. I like pictures like this candid one way more than posed ones.

I have a cannon at home that I plan to shoot with. Im not sure who I plan to capture but probably either my dogs or mom. I think taking my pictures outside with natural light will make them successful.
